Brickwork up to head height (mine of course), so not that high. Brickie’s arrived 11th Feb. The scaffolding arrived this morning. I drive past on my way home to find half of it on the nature strip. A big no, no with council. The SS called me on Tuesday and said that the brickie would at least another couple of weeks if not three. Very slow. Painfully slow. I cannot see why when they are week 17 into a 30 week build, that they don’t pull all stops to get back on track. Absolutely ridiculous for such a large project building company. What makes it worse is the Metricon home next door started a week later and are at gyprock stage. I need to find someone to talk to at Clarendon.

February 2nd

Frame is complete apart from the roof trusses in the alfresco and the garage. A few days behind schedule. 5.5wks now in total. This coming week sees the plumbing, site clean and brick delivery. The brickies start on Monday 10th, weather permitting. I gather they can’t do brick work in the rain. Photo’s below 1) back of house, 2) welcome to our new home (the entrance hall), 3) moving towards the back of the house, 4) the front view of the house (Waterside 34).
